General License questions

Hey, found this program through InspirationTuts on youtube and decided I wanted to check this program out, all good and all but I got a few questions regarding the license, I’ve read through the license agreement and pioneers attribution section, but I cant seem to find anything about royalties or similar topics. Does these licenses require users/companies to pay royalties or is for example the pioneer license all free to use commercially aslong as the users follow the pioneer attribution?

And speaking of the Pioneer Attribution topic, I feel like its kind off semi vague, on how to “propperly” leave credits to Abstract/InstaMat, for example I’m posting things on artstation as portfolio pieces, is there alternatives to leaving credits other than adding the logo to the thumbnail?
(I do think its a good way to do it, but mainly for material/texture showcases and could be misleading for larger projects such as entire environments.)

Welcome to the community!

There are no royalties to be paid. If you make a game and you’re under the revenue cap, simply include us in the splash like you’d include other middleware.

We also have this page on the wiki that contains a lot of additional info:

I think it depends on fair use, if most of the materials are made with MAT. I think a watermark would be fair use. If it’s only a small portion of the scene, a link in the description could be enough. This is what we also state in the wiki:
