Hello, i have 2 requests. In short add existing normal maps and re-import already created maps to revise them again.
- existing correct normal maps are usually better than generated ones
- if i can revise already created maps again or have to revise them slightly because something has changed, it would be great if i can just do it here
Implementation Details
- for the normal maps:
if i could add an existing normal map and further customize it in the normal maps tab, and or incorporate the details from instamat materialize image, that would be a big win.
this would also ensure that the generated height map is more accurate, as well as the AO map
- If it were possible to reload already created maps for each map type, small adjustments could be made without interruption in case something doesn’t work as expected or if a detail is noticed later. This way, everything would remain within this section of the tool, and there would be no need to load another function of Instamat. It would make the tool even more beginner-friendly.
Additional ideas: It would be great if the metal map wasn’t limited to just one mask input. Also, when using a mask, it should still be possible to adjust the values for the non-masked areas and the masked areas.
For example, similar to how the roughness map works when a mask is placed in the grunge input slider—you can still adjust the parts of the roughness map separately.
Many thanks and of course thank you for this great tool!
