well imagine are working with some existing textures (ie diffuse map of a character) but on say 2 or more uv tiles instead of one and want to make use of the materialize image to generate other channels like normal, roughness etc

I’ll forward this internally, but it seems that this would be something nice for a feature request here in the forum, where we have specific category for users to request features they’d like to see in InstaMAT. Would you like to create one?

In the FR you could elaborate further. Just so I understand, I assume you’d also like to import a different mesh into the Materialize project like e.g. a character with multiple UDIM tiles and just create your materials from photos and assign them to the specific tiles? This sounds really interesting.
