Does anyone know where to find information on how to use this operation/mode? The UI is a bit sparse. The current YouTube video on occlusion culling promises more info in the “next video,” but that doesn’t seem to be out yet
Hello @1299design and welcome to our community!
For the camera-based mode, you can either add a camera in InstaLOD Studio from the Create
menu, or import them if they are in the scene. InstaLOD will use the viewpoint of those cameras to determine which parts of the scene are visible.
If you’re using InstaLOD’s integrations you can select both the cameras and the mesh itself to run the operation.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Thanks!
Thanks for the reply, @Pixby !
I have figured out the very basics, but I was hoping for some clarification as to which axis the camera uses (seems to be local X) as well information on FOV, etc. As I stated, the UI is somewhat spartan.
My limited testing so far doesn’t seem to indicate that this feature is going to be all that useful for me, so I can wait until the next video comes out for more information
