Unable to import UVs

Hello

I would like to load a 3D model created with reality capture into instamat and use it to bake and create materials.

However, it worked fine until I imported the model, but it seemed like there were no UVs.

The model format is FBX, and the UVs are created using reality capture.
When I tried loading the model into blender, the UVs were attached properly.

Is there a way to import a model with UVs attached using instamat?

Please respond.

Hello @toran and welcome to the community!

When the 3D model does have UV’s, they should be available in InstaMAT after import as well. Did you try to set the Render Mode to “UV Grid”?

This should make the UV shells visible on your mesh.

If the model doesn’t have UV’s in InstaMAT in the end but does in other tools, are you able to share it so we can investigate?

Thanks!

Thank you for your reply.

When I looked at the model in the UVGrid state, there was a UV.
It seems that the problem was that the Projection Mode was set to Tri Planar.
What I missed. I’m really sorry that I received your comment.

Thank you very much

Hey @toran, great that it works for you! The Multi-Channel and Element Layer is indeed set to Tri Planar by default. And nevermind, we are always here to help.

If there is anything else, don’t hesitate to ask!
