Unreal Engine 5.3.1 - Workflow Problem

I integrated InstaLOD in my Unreal Engine Project, but I am not able to generate a optimized mesh or other actions in the static mesh viewer.
When I select a mesh in a level everything works fine.

Is this intended behaviour?
It would be much simpler for me to do everything in the static mesh view.

InstaLOD for Unreal Engine is designed to work only with selected objects from the Level Editor in Unreal Engine.
