Hi, another neewbie question.
Is there a way to use nodes for shared parameters, ex masks?
If not, that would be a great addition.
Love InstaMat so far btw!
Thanks.

Hello @gtr,
Thank you for your post.
Could you please elaborate what you mean by using nodes for shared parameters like masks?
Glad to hear you are enjoying InstaMAT!
Thanks!
Well, as an example, using a layer mask that has the same parameters but masking multiple layers. But I guess that defeats the layer purpose. Never mind.
Thanks for the clarification @gtr. I think I better understand what you were referring to.
You can apply a mask to a Layer Group. This will apply the mask to all layers within that group. You can select multiple layers in the Layer Stack, then click the Add Layer
button and select Layer Group
from the dropdown menu. The selected layers will automatically be added to the new group. You can then select the new layer group and add a mask to the entire group.
For example, here in the InstaMAT Crate demo project, the Paint group has two masks and a filter applied to it.
You can open this tutorial project in InstaMAT by creating a new Layering project and scrolling down to the Templates and Tutorials
if you’d like to further explore it.
Hope this helps! If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask!
Thanks!
Sweet! Thanks! So much to absorb and learn.

You’re welcome! Glad I could help!
