Why is Render Mode greyed out in Environment Settings (Viewport Settings)?

Hello @darkel1911, and welcome to our community!

It looks like you are currently in the Vertex Paint workspace. You can switch to the Mesh Operation workspace by either clicking the paintbrush icon in the toolbar on the right, or by using the Workspace dropdown in the top right corner of the window.

This should allow you to change the render mode for the viewport.
